Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. They are widely used to make websites work correctly and to provide information to website owners.
Local storage is a similar browser technology that allows websites to store data on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to the server with every request.
This website uses very few cookies and storage mechanisms. We do not use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes.
2. Cookies and Storage We Use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Required |
|---|---|---|---|---|
csrf_token |
Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict) | Protects the contact form against cross-site request forgery attacks | Session | Yes |
consent_media |
Local storage | Remembers your choice about loading YouTube video embeds | Persistent (until you clear browser data or reset via Cookie Settings) | No |
The csrf_token cookie
is strictly necessary for the secure operation of our contact form. It cannot be disabled.
The consent_media value
stores either "granted" or "denied" and controls whether YouTube video embeds are loaded
on our site.
3. Third-Party Cookies
YouTube (Google)
When you accept media cookies via our consent banner, video tours are loaded from
YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode
(youtube-nocookie.com).
YouTube may set its own cookies when videos are loaded. We have no control over
these cookies. See
Google's Cookie Policy
for details.
OpenStreetMap
Our community map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap servers. This transmits your IP address to OpenStreetMap but does not set any cookies on your device.
4. How to Manage Your Preferences
Cookie Settings
You can change your media consent choice at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings button in the footer of any page. This will reset your preference and re-display the consent banner.
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies and local storage through their
settings. You can typically find these options in your browser's "Privacy" or
"Security" settings. Note that blocking the
csrf_token cookie
will prevent our contact form from working.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We respect the Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals sent by your browser. If either signal is detected and you have not made an explicit consent choice, YouTube video embeds will not be loaded. You can still choose to enable video embeds by clicking "Accept" on our consent banner, which will override the DNT/GPC signal for this site only.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this cookie policy if we change how we use cookies or storage on this website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
For broader information about how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
